Job Description:
- Work with the Sales VP/ Director on specific retail accounts and help him/her increase company sales.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries.
- Create item set ups with the retailer.
- Create purchase orders and follow up with shipments.
- Gather, send, and monitor pre-production/production testing along with samples.
- Develop knowledge of the sales function, including merchandise selection, testing, displays, etc.
- Communicate with product development, production, and sourcing to exchange information.
- Maintain detailed account recaps.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Merchandising background required
- 2 years of field sales, inside sales and/or account management experience
- Background in apparel, home textiles, or related fields a plus
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
- Proficient in MS Office suite; excellent Excel skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
