What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perioperative Aide position at VCUHSA VCU Health System Authority?
The Perioperative Aide will be responsible for helping in the operating room, preoperative area and post operative area. The Perioperative Aide will assist with room turn over, stocking supplies, wiping down areas and stocking linen. Essential Job Statements Assist with room turnover, I.e., mop floors, wipe off tables, empty trash cans, and assist with the removal of dirty linen. Assist with preparing burritos (room turn over kits in pre/post). Assist with materials management i.e., by stocking materials, assists the department with maintaining a safe, clean and stocked environment. Assist with wiping down waiting area and lunchroom areas. Assist with stocking warmer with linen in OR and pre/post. Assist with room turnover in pre/post by assisting with the removal of dirty linen. Assist with getting families back to the room. Assist with stocking linen/scrub carts. Collects and distributes wheelchairs and stretchers. Disinfects and cleans all Patient Transportation equipment with required disinfect wipes, for infection control purposes. Other duties as assigned. Patient Population Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide equitable care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit.
