What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager – Corporate Events position at VDA?
VDA Inc, a leading event design agency, based in Somerville MA, that creates innovative and dynamic experiences for corporate meetings, tradeshows, permanent installations, and themed events, is looking for an inventive and proactive Project Manager to manage corporate events from beginning to end.
Tasks to include:
- Pre Production of events
- Design support
- Support sales team on site visits and job pricing
- Sub vendor procurement and interaction
- On-Site management for installation and dismantle of stage sets and trade show booths
- Client interaction during the entire life cycle of the event
- Management of given budgets for equipment and labor
- Supervise on site labor (Non-Union and Union)
Requirements:
- Understanding of live and virtual corporate events
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field
- Knowledge of theatrical set and trade show booth build carpentry
- Basic understanding of theatrical lighting, audio and video systems
- VectorWorks CAD drafting (basics)
- Must be willing to travel
- Capable of lifting 50lbs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft word, xlsx
