Job Title: Vehicle Testing- Engineer
Job Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite)
Job Type: FTE
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Establishes vehicle level attributes and requirements.
- Leads problem solving of engineering issues.
- Expert in CANalyzer, Somat, Dewsoft.
- Responsible for EV vehicle testing and troubleshooting.
- Manages gate reviews for programs from concept charter thru Job1
- Manages validation planning and execution including engine and vehicle builds.
- Responsible for managing multiple projects and leading technical and analytical discussions with cross functional teams.
- Responsible for understanding the end goal of the vehicle and features to develop the most optimized validation plan for each project.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
- At least 5 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience
Desired Skills:
- Aptitude for troubleshooting issues in an ambiguous environment.
- Ability to identify root cause, contain, and permanently correct engineering issues.
- EV and/or Diesel experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in-person, on the phone, and by email.
- Well-versed in commercial class 8 fleet trucks, trailers, and on-highway norms.
- Knowledgeable of DoT requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiar with Calibration tools like INCA and Canalyzer.
- Familiar with performing software updates with service tools like Cummins InSIte, SDS, or other service tools.
- Familiar with CAN based datalinks and communication protocols.
- Flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
