Our government client is looking for an experienced PDF SPECIALIST on a hybrid 12 months renewable contract role in Richmond, VA.
Position PDF SPECIALIST (ACCESSIBILITY & CONVERSION)

local candidates required due to onsite requirement / non locals need to relocate
Candidate selected MUST work onsite 3 days every week, NO exceptions
About the role :
The Data Conversion Specialist will be responsible for converting existing PDF documents for accessibility compliance with SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Create web content pages and ensuring converted documents maintain the integrity and formatting of the original PDFs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in HTML is a plus.
The Specialist will use the accessibility tool and action wizard tool within Adobe to create accessible and compliant PDFs.
In doing so, the Specialist will need to identify form fields, set alternate text, tag text that has not been auto detected and organize the reading order and HTML structure.
Required / Desired Skills and Experience :
- 5 years of Convert existing PDFs into accessible PDFs Required
- 5 years of Convert PDFs into web content pages Required.
- 5 years of Collaborate with team to improve conversion processes Required.
- 5 years of Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PDF accessibility best practices Required.
- 5 years of Review converted documents for quality control and make necessary adjustments as needed Required.
- 5 years of Work closely with team to ensure timely delivery of converted documents Required.
- 5 years of Provide technical support and training to other team members, if needed Required
- 5 years of Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat Required
- 2 years of Knowledge of SEC 508 of the Rehabilitation Act is Nice to have.
