Overview
The Technical Writer position must ensure that its own policies and procedures are in line with DOD/DON instructions and are updated regularly to ensure compliance. The contractor shall maintain an awareness of the status of existing defense cost and IPM policy and shall provide relevant comments and suggestions for changes to those policies.

The Technical Writer position must ensure that its own policies and procedures are in line with DOD/DON instructions and are updated regularly to ensure compliance. The contractor shall maintain an awareness of the status of existing defense cost and IPM policy and shall provide relevant comments and suggestions for changes to those policies.
Responsibilities
- The contractor will provide technical writing to draft new NELO/CAED cost policy with direction from the CAED Deputy Director.
- The contractor shall also translate and summarize updates to existing policy to the CAED workforce, as well as articulate and codify cost estimating best practices and templates for use by the workforce.
- Qualifications
- The Technical Writer position should be knowledgeable about current DOD and DON cost estimating and IPM policies and best practices.
- Must be able to assess, develop, and recommend changes to CAED policy; as well as read, interpret, and provide comment on higher-level policy as requested.
- Must be able to provide thorough and accurate cost estimating and earned value management policy recommendations that address all aspects of the descipline, and that is acceptable to the Government.
- At least 3-8 years of relevant experience.
