Crane Technician

Join our team in Angola, IN, as a Senior Service Technician where you'll be instrumental in delivering top-notch industrial lifting solutions. Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, you'll be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing hoist and crane equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists, including quality installations.
• Conduct OSHA equivalent inspections, document warranty work, and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to emergency service calls.
• Interface effectively with customers and the office to repair equipment as needed.
• Execute electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs, with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain customer rapport by addressing complaints, suggesting improvements, and recommending system enhancements.
• Document service and installation actions thoroughly.
• Uphold professional standards in presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization.
• Develop expertise in Federal, State, and local codes pertaining to overhead cranes and hoists.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment, including vehicles and tools.

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of crane and hoist equipment troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Previous experience with overhead cranes and scissor lifts.
• Preferably an Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology.
• Ability to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and noisy environments, involving physical tasks such as lifting 50-100lbs.
• Competence in performing inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and professionally interact with customers.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, providing status updates on jobs.
• Driven by quality and results, with a keen focus on safety.
• Must possess own hand tools and meter.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,603.05 - $57,328.41 per year
