Join our team in Angola, IN, as a Senior Service Technician where you'll be instrumental in delivering top-notch industrial lifting solutions. Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, you'll be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing hoist and crane equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Service overhead crane systems and hoists, including quality installations.
Conduct OSHA equivalent inspections, document warranty work, and troubleshoot breakdowns.
Perform preventive maintenance and respond promptly to emergency service calls.
Interface effectively with customers and the office to repair equipment as needed.
Execute electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs, with or without engineered drawings.
Maintain customer rapport by addressing complaints, suggesting improvements, and recommending system enhancements.
Document service and installation actions thoroughly.
Uphold professional standards in presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization.
Develop expertise in Federal, State, and local codes pertaining to overhead cranes and hoists.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of company equipment, including vehicles and tools.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of crane and hoist equipment troubleshooting experience.
Proficiency with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
Previous experience with overhead cranes and scissor lifts.
Preferably an Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology.
Ability to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and noisy environments, involving physical tasks such as lifting 50-100lbs.
Competence in performing inspections to OSHA criteria.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and professionally interact with customers.
Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, providing status updates on jobs.
Driven by quality and results, with a keen focus on safety.
Must possess own hand tools and meter.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
