Job Description
The Head of Search Engine Optimization function at VELOX Media is critical to our mission to create a consumer-like, client-centric ecosystem of ROI-Focused optimization and integrated digital experiences. You’ll drive our global search engine optimization and link-building efforts for VELOX Media and its micro/enterprise clients. As an expert in search strategy, technical, and content, you'll enhance our current award-winning services, lead the vision for our next-generation service offerings and site, and build a roadmap for our future optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Increase organic traffic to VELOX Media client web properties by driving our current SEO and syndication team while continuing our successful global search engine optimization efforts.
- Create a performance roadmap for all clients to bring client key pages in compliance with best practice optimization standards that comply with Google.
- Give presentations and conduct workshops to align client digital leaders on key SEO initiatives and the impact of marketing initiatives on organic traffic value.
- Create an international partnership model with content-focused SEO partners and or agencies who can service pre-enterprise across regions and business groups.
- Collaborate with leadership other experts and digital leaders on complex SEO problems.
- Lead internal SEO roadmap and interlocks with sales/inbound/ and supporting teams.
- Drive inbound SEO programs across industry-focused company programs
- Enhance system and workflow to monitor and optimize SEO health of all client web properties
- Drive client SEO direction for major site changes, product launches, and design shifts
- Work closely with the analytics team to monitor traffic following Google algorithm updates and new client site and product launches
- Lead SEO vision for integration between headless CMS, Web DAM, onsite search, and overall website information architecture
- Partner with web design and development teams, balancing experience optimization for both for users and web crawlers
Qualifications
- 10 year’s experience in enterprise SEO for B2C & B2B
- Experience managing other SEO Digital Strategists, Analysts, and Syndication
- Expert understanding of SEO fundamentals and the latest updates to algorithms
- Deep knowledge of technical SEO, including on-site optimization, bot crawling and indexing, content structure, global site management, and Google Core Web Vitals
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical partners and stakeholders and help to weigh the impact of technical SEO work on UI/UX
- Work samples or case studies demonstrating successful execution of SEO tactics and/or other digital marketing initiatives that have led to increases in website traffic
- Experience with third-party enterprise SEO tools and their integration into the digital strategy workflow
- Strong understanding of Web Accessibility Standards and effects on SEO UI/UX
- Experience using quantitative web analytics tools like Google Adobe and other related Analytics
