One of Greater Boston’s most popular waterfront restaurants has a wonderful growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, professional, and career-centered manager seeking a rewarding Restaurant Manager position.
Venezia on the Waterfront, conveniently located off I-93 in the Boston waterfront area, is in need of an individual with strong leadership skills to take on a busy and fast-paced role in our family-owned fine dining venture. We believe that a great guest experience stems from a great restaurant manager orchestrating an incredible dining experience through meticulous preparation, clear direction and unwavering team support.
Venezia's Restaurant Floor Manager leads using the principles and promises of our culture and is responsible for overall operations of the restaurant. Specific duties include acting as maitre’d for customers, overseeing the staff to ensure attentive service and food served as promised; as well as executing our systems, methods and procedures such as opening and closing the restaurant, monitoring food and beverage inventories and ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all food and beverage regulations. Reporting to our facility's General Manager, this position trains, develops and schedules wait staff.
The ideal candidate will have strong food & wine knowledge, some kitchen experience and the desire to supervise and motivate a team of employees. Flexible shifts, weekend and evenings a must.

- 4 years high volume General/Restaurant Manager experience in a high
- volume fine dining establishment including weekend management
- Proven success in:
- Up selling
- Managing and motivating team of employees
- Handling customer complaints with finesse
- Skilled at managing closing procedures
- Full knowledge of Open table/Toast system
- Demonstrate an understanding of current business practices and procedures
- Stable job history
