ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ventech Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineering Specialist (Level 2) to provide Strategic Management and Administrative Support to the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The Systems Engineering Specialist (Level 2) will assist with design, development, modification and evaluation of complicated and difficult engineering projects. They have technical responsibility for planning and conducting technical projects or phases of projects and may coordinate the efforts of engineers, technical support personnel, drafters, and technical writers. The Systems Engineering Specialist (Level 2) assists with development and recommendation of design approaches for new or improved products or processes, and conducts independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications and requirements. They may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

This position is an individual contributor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Provides functional expertise through day-to-day work tasks. Works under the supervision of management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related experience.
- Experience supporting other engineers, and taking one or more projects through the entire development cycle.
- Demonstrated appreciation of values and cost, the capability for critical thinking and the ability to communicate clearly.
