What you'll do:

The Project Team Lead (PTL) or Program Manager, is a member of the automotive radar design and development team. S/he leads radar product development from prototype to high-volume production with the goal of becoming the best active safety radar in the world. This leader will be responsible for driving 100% customer satisfaction via exceptional program team leadership and customer service. The PTL takes full responsibility for profitability, On-Time Delivery, Zero-Defect Quality and Customer Satisfaction.


  • Lead global project teams through the design, development, and launch of radar products.
  • Serve as lead for multiple concurrent project successes for cost and schedule.
  • Responsible for tactical execution of the various projects day-to-day
  • Manage product performance and development process for the team.
  • Manage a matrixed team; indirectly manage work of cross-functional teams including Buyers, Engineering, Technicians and Operations personnel support the various project
  • Interact with subject-matter experts to develop technical recommendations, obtain buy-in from stakeholders to reach consensus decisions
  • Participate in the Business Review (BR) process with assigned project accounts
  • Provide cost, schedule and risk information as part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Work with Engineering and Operations initiate and prepare labor estimates for proposals
  • Enforce adherence to the established project budget and schedule
  • Serve internally as the “voice of the customer”
  • Chair and manage design review preparations and presentations
  • Work closely with Operations on yield improvement and scrap reduction
  • Develop and track business case / time schedule / validation plan / risk assessment / approvals with globally dispersed cross-functional teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering with 10 years’ experience managing projects. Or, an MBA or Masters in an Engineering discipline with 5 years’ experience managing projects
  • 5 years of Program/Project Management experience in high volume manufacturing. Preferably with a Tier-1 supplier to the automobile industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
  • Proven expertise at achieving and sustaining the #1-ranked position with customers
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project, and all needed MS Office packages
  • Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary : $102,000 - $129,000
