We are currently looking for an Project Developer to join the Veregy team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the collection of information from the design requirements for a building project by interacting with clients to identify project specifications and budgets.
- Produce schematic designs and floor plans that depict the scope of work for facility improvements that meet the requirements of the client.
- With an emphasis on the mechanical construction scope items, you will identify construction materials, produce cost estimates for the defined construction work and collaborate with the development team members for the development of scopes of work for all trades required for the implementation of the project.
- Responsible for the transfer of project information and ideas to building design consultants as they supervise the production of construction documents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, project teams, and subcontractors and communicate regularly with all team members regarding project development progress, open and closed tasks and issues.
- Conduct facility walk-throughs to identify/verify preliminary scope items and prepare preliminary cost estimates for the general mechanical construction improvement measures that address customer needs.
- Utilize your presentation skills by participating in the presentation of the Preliminary Analysis Report and the Feasibility Report to the customer.
- Will be expected to develop conceptual systems drawings for presentations to owners as well as update the development timeline, budget and project development control index.
- Will facilitate subcontractor pre-bid meetings, facility walk-throughs, finalize costs, and access project risks with the with Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer.
- May need to assemble schematic/design development packages for transfer to third-party architects and engage third-party consultants for design assistance, contract documents or code review.
Required Experience
- Strong experience in Energy Performance Contracting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and RSMeans estimating.
- Proficiency in BIM or scheduling software a plus.
- Track record of establishing and maintaining development and construction budgets.
- Demonstrated success in working effectively with subcontractor market and A/E teams.
- Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role on estimating projects from start to finish.
