Industry: Aerospace/Defense Position: Senior Quality Inspector Location: Irving, Texas / Relocation not available. Job requires onsite presence in Irving, TX Duration: On-going contract Frequency: 40/hrs per week - full-time - W2 Assignment
Pay Range: $35.00-$40.00/hr
Job Summary:
- The Senior Quality Inspector shall perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS9102.
- The candidate will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering design requirements records on the AS9102 forms.
- Confirmation that the First Article Inspection Record (FAIR) is accurate and completed for a part number or assembly and that all part, product, and characteristic accountability aspects are addressed prior to approval.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have knowledge and practical experience of the AS9102 standard.
- This should include at least 1 year of experience inspecting all aspects of first article packages in accordance with the standard, along with at least 5 years in quality.
- Strong background in manufacturing in the aerospace or military / defense industries required.
- Practical experience inspecting aerospace components and assemblies is necessary as well as knowledge of applicable industry standards is highly desired.
- Must understand Purchasing documents, specifications, shop planning, drawings, 3D models and other technical instructions.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Net-Inspect software is a plus, but not required.
