What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Product Management position at Verisign?
The Director Product Management will be responsible for delivering exemplary website experiences for Verisign. This includes the domain name search experience used across website properties as well as the overall execution of website delivery. This team leader will work with corporate stakeholders including website business owners, the User Experience Team, Analytics, and the Web Engineering Team to ensure sites are built and operated according to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the Verisign Website Production function using Agile development process in partnership with engineering and program management resources to deliver site owners compelling capabilities on time, within scope and with high quality.
- Ability to foster relationships across the company to eliminate barriers and drive execution.
- Leads the Product Management initiatives focused on front end search experience (testing of new domain name search options, definition of new user search flows, etc.). This includes web components used for domain search as well as testing and product feature development.
- Works closely with other Product Managers who build out the back-end search engine.
- Establishes and updates a series of Reporting and Monitoring controls to make sure sites operate at the highest possible levels (security, scale, latency, quality control initiatives to avoiding broken links, etc.). Delivers and constantly refines these readouts for key stakeholders – Works vigorously to improve the infrastructure and site experience.
- Applies extensive industry experience to formulate goals for the team, identify threats and opportunities in the stack of tools and processes used throughout the websites. Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer/stakeholder needs.
- Leads and helps select the various vendors and technologies used to support the delivery of sites. Including video tools, job boards, CDNs, site search tools, etc. Responsible for working with procurement, legal, etc. to make sure systems are operational and contributing value.
Job Qualifications
Education
- 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Business, Design, Web Production/Development required
- Graduate Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Design, Web Production/Development, preferred
Relevant Experience
- 12-15 years’ experience in product management and/or website production
- 2 years people management experience required
- Experience building SAAS and/or large-scale web properties (ie corporate websites, campaign landing pages)
- Knowledge of OneTrust, Analytics Packages (Adobe, Google), Web Components, Hugo, Netlify CMS, JIRA
