About the Role

The Lien Services Coordinator is responsible for processing incoming mail, conditional payment reporting, outreach for Proof of Representation documents, Medicare Advantage Plan (“MAPS”) Affidavit and HIPAA release, and outreach to MAPS, Part D, Medicaid programs, and Medicare contractors.  

This coordinator role is not outwardly client-facing at this time but will work closely with outside vendors and internal staff. Each coordinator is responsible for successful communication, timely responses, and providing overall excellent service.

About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role

• Process incoming mail, and distribute/upload as directed.
• Routine follow-up on Letters of Authority and/or Proof of Representation documents.
• Routine follow-up on MAPS Affidavit and HIPAA release.
• Outreach to MAPS Part D, Medicaid Programs to obtain lien letter for possible dispute or payment.
• Conditional payment reporting.
• Conditional payment follow-up with Medicare contractors.
• Responsible for sending out assigned CP $0 letters.
• Responsible for obtaining final demand and/or case resolved letter and following up with the Medicare contractors.
• Retrieve documents as directed from external systems.
• Assist with referral set-up in database, as needed.
• Assist attorneys and staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized, and quality focused 
• Customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent technical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently, self-directed, highly motivated
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, professional, team-focused environment
• Flexible and adaptable
• 0-2 years’ experience
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
