This position is responsible for Government Sales for Verizon Connect within a defined region. You will drive and achieve sales goals through the creation and execution of a strategic plan for the assigned region in conjunction with the Managing Partner. This includes prospecting in the specific region via specific vertical associations, trade shows, industry events and affiliates, prospecting and engaging current customers. A key component of this job is interfacing with Verizon sales teams within the assigned region and driving leads and opportunities via the Verizon sales teams. Relationship, presentation and account management skills are a must for this position, especially when interfacing with our Verizon counterparts at the front line and executive levels. This position will have a significant budget number assigned that has a meaningful impact on the overall business outcome annually.
Achieve sales goals for an assigned region.
Develop and manage executive and key stakeholder relationships for public sector prospects within assigned territory.
Maintain activity metrics calls, meetings, opportunities created and closed
Utilization of SalesLoft for prospecting metrics.
Grow and maintain accurate funnel health within SFDC.
Prepare sales forecasts, account status reports, and provide recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential.
Work closely with the broader Verizon sales teams to strategize on accounts to provide Telematics solutions to Government Clients.
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with VBG and ISS territory partners
Understanding client needs and tailoring our solutions through consultative selling.
Identify and lead efforts in responding to RFPs and complying with government bid and contracting processes.
Collaborating with internal and external partners from sale through implementation.
Streamlining processes and effectively managing sales activities and forecasting.
Managing client and internal expectations.
Being the expert on our offerings and knowing what the competition is doing.
Partner with the Government CS Team to align on the needs of the customer in an effort to provide valuable solutions in an effort to retain and grow the customer for the long term.
Demonstrated effective ability to think strategically and develop and follow a set of objectives. You possess an extensive background in selling into large government, and/or enterprise level accounts. You have a broad knowledge of the government procurement process, government contracts, pricing, etc. You understand the structure of government entities, and are able to facilitate collaboration and consensus across varying functional areas of the government entity. Experience with interfacing at multiple contact levels within an account and demonstrates a detailed understanding of both the customers' sector and business drivers/challenges. You have strong technical expertise, a preferred experience with selling telematics in a previous role, and have a good understanding of Solutions Selling methodology and tools and apply these regularly to both gain a better understanding of the customers' environment and manage the relationship. Ability to articulate a value-focused selling approach.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel.
Valid driver’s license.
Even better if you have:
A Bachelor's degree
Bid, sold to, and contracted with government agencies
Experience building a sales territory in both a “hunter” role and a “overlay” role.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding challenging sales goals.
Managed multiple projects and deals under tight timelines.
Selling Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Telematics experience.
Cultivated strong trusting customer relationships at senior levels.
Experience working in the government segment.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.Salary : $74,000 - $138,000
