What you’ll be doing...

The Network Systems Field Operations organization is responsible for implementing tools, solutions and innovation to help a field force of approximately 20K technicians better serve our customers.

As a development lead you will be responsible for the delivery of Network Systems strategic initiatives in the field force & dispatch domains, in an agile & cutting edge environment. You will collaborate with various internal teams on new technologies to make it easy for our customers to do business with us.

• Define, design, architect product solutions and facilitate development with technologies that include micro services frameworks, UI frameworks, and cloud native deployments using DevSecOps tools.
• Recommend design and integration strategies, shared platforms/services and software scaling & application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution.
• Build technical relationships with internal customers as well as external customers, understand customers’ high-level objectives, match them to solutions and propose innovative ideas where appropriate.
• Demonstrate leadership, provide expertise and architectural assistance to other IT personnel including systems engineers and software teams.
• Perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technology or approaches.

You’ll need to have:

• This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
• A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in design & development of applications using Micro services architecture.
• Experience in design & development of shared platforms & services.
• Development experience using cloud computing platforms (AWS).
• Experience with containerization and container management platforms (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Front end development experience using frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience in code reviews, with root cause of design logic issues.
• Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

• Master's degree in engineering, computer science or similar.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Familiarity in migrating monolithic software architecture to micro services architecture.
• Familiarity with REST API design and development.
• Experience in Data streaming Platforms Kafka / Pulsar.
• AWS certifications.
