What you'll be doing...

Verizon's Value Organization is seeking an experienced and creative Organic Social Media Strategist to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing organic social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, engage our community, and drive customer acquisition and retention. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling content, analyze performance, and optimize our social media efforts across various platforms. The ideal candidate is highly creative and self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, and collaborates well with both internal partners and external agencies. You're passionate about our industry, comfortable with competitive social media, and have experience growing audiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with our Head of Social and agency partners on crafting engaging organic content for Value's portfolio of wireless brands.
  • Work on content campaigns for both large-scale and social-first brand moments - ranging from content with creators/influencers to scripted content, and competitive content.
  • Assist in the development of campaign briefs, learning plans, and post-campaign reporting (you'll help track general performance, KPIs, and impact).
  • Partner with our community manager and social Care team on generating audience insights from both our owned comment sections as well as general social listening.
  • Assist with social media experiments to identify new ways to express our brand and engage our audiences - whether it's testing new platforms, concepts around community insights, or a trending cultural moment.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Social Media Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive organic social media strategies aligned with our brand goals and target audience.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality, engaging content (posts, stories, videos, graphics) for social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok, Reddit and more.
  • Community Management: Monitor and engage with our social media community, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and authentic manner.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to optimize content and strategies.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating relevant trends into our social media efforts.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, customer service, agency teams, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to support product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Advocacy: Identify and collaborate with brand advocates and influencers to amplify our message and reach a broader audience.
  • Crisis Management: Manage and address any social media crises or negative feedback professionally and strategically.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in social media strategy, content creation, and community management.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with paid social media strategy
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Identified content and optimized approaches for different channels.
  • Analyzed web traffic and social media performance through SEO analysis.
  • Analyzed data, developed reports, and made recommendations.
  • Managed complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Built and maintained brand editorial calendars.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $89,000.00 and $166,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
