Plant Operations Manager

Currently in design & engineering phase of project. Anticipate start date of Spring/Summer 2024.

The Pellet Plant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing production, quality, costs, reactive and preventative maintenance, and safety of the Pellet Mill. The Plant Operations Manager will lead the Pellet Mill team to achieve critical KPI’s.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among plant employees.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and cost reductions.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Monitor product quality and implement measures to improve overall product performance.

Qualifications:

-Pellet Mill Experience Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in plant management or operations management role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and processes.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
