Veros Biologics is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our Colorado Infusion locations. The pharmacy technician, working out of our Centennial, CO location, provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
- Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
- Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
- Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
- Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company's pharmacy software system.
- Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
- Participates in company's quality assurance and performance improvement program.
- Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and participates in company's CE offerings and annual re-credentialing process.
- Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
- Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
- Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Biomeds formulary management program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma. Some college credits preferred.
- Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
- Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
- Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
- Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent sterile compounding techniques
- Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
