POSITION SUMMARY
The Credit Risk Analyst supports the Credit Risk arm of Vertiv’s AR team in reviewing new and existing customers for credit approvals and credit-risk monitoring. With support from the Credit Coordinator, this role monitors our customer base and pending sales orders to prioritize credit reviews. The Credit Risk Analyst has credit approval authority up to a defined limit and will make credit decision recommendations to more senior approvers as appropriate. This role is also key to Vertiv’s SOX compliance, managing reporting that supports monthly review of control(s) owned by the Credit Operations Manager. In addition to SOX-related reporting, the Credit Risk Analyst will have oversight of several pieces of scheduled reporting that have high visibility across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for rendering quick and prudent credit decisions within policy, within authorized limits and according to any established SLA’s
Works with Sales and with Customers directly to obtain credit or financial information to support any given revenue opportunity
Regularly review the credit hold queues with assistance from the Credit Coordinator, to support and drive order review/release on a timely basis
Owns and manages SOX related reporting specific to Vertiv’s controls around customer credit limits, and executes timely the related activities in preparation for monthly reviews
Conducts periodic credit reviews on existing customers to ensure credit lines are properly justified from a business and financial perspective
Acts as a facilitator across the Credit and Collections team to drive credit related decision making on at-risk accounts
Support of scheduled reporting around credit holds and prioritization of credit-related workload
QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer 3-5 years of experience in business-to-business Credit and Accounts Receivable
Requires a good understanding of how to secure and interpret trade reports (ie., DNB), banking and trade references, and customer financial statements
Must have excellent communication skills, to facilitate the credit review process and the delivery of credit decisions to both internal and external stakeholders
BA or BS in Finance, Business Administration or related field
Preference for candidates that have working knowledge of credit risk mitigation tools and techniques (ie Letters of Credit, Joint Check agreements, Mechanic’s Liens, Payment Bonds, etc)
