What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Continuous Improvement position at Vertiv?
Vertiv is looking for a Manager of Business Process Improvement and Vertiv Operating Systems (VOS) in Westerville, OH to play a pivotal role in enhancing the end-to-end Opportunity-to-Cash (O2C) processes within the Americas region. Acting as a Business Process Owner, you will support, analyze, and research complex problems related to the O2C function. Success in this role requires strong O2C domain expertise, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to listen, address issues, articulate solutions, and coordinate projects. You must also influence stakeholders and secure business buy-in. Additionally, you will govern the overall process, ensuring standardization across the region, managing change through a structured governance model, and identifying opportunities for improvement, including technology enhancements. Your role is essential in driving consistent, efficient, and effective processes across the organization, making a significant impact on the business's success.
In this role, you will need O2C domain skills, a process improvement mindset, the ability to listen and address specific problems, articulate solutions, and coordinate different projects. The ability to influence others and obtain business buy-in is critical to being successful in this role. Additionally, this role will be responsible for governing the overall end-to-end process, ensuring that processes are standardized across the region, change is managed carefully following a structured governance model, and process improvements are identified, including technology changes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize VOS governance and framework to plan, facilitate, and manage business process improvement initiatives.
Identify and recommend improvements to more automated processes.
Plans, facilitates, and manages business process improvement initiatives using agile methodologies.
Prepare flowcharts and other related reporting packages to track both project deliverables/timelines and key issues.
Liaise with local Learning & Development teams to facilitate learning, process improvement/validation, and logistical coordination.
Provide expert support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to O2C processes.
Maintain a strong focus on the execution of delivery of short-term results while moving toward the long-term vision.
Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing, and process standardization and align with other Regions where possible.
Perform root cause analysis to determine causes of missed performance metrics.
Partner with business leaders to develop and implement process-specific policies and procedures to drive process efficiency.
Escalate process issues to respective business owners in a timely and structured approach.
Drive team members to promote value-added activities and focus on exceeding customers’ demands.
Motivate team members to challenge the status quo and strive for process excellence.
Create a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
Develop and train staff on Oracle functionality and efficient system utilization.
Review the results of ERP testing.
It will help develop and maintain operational excellence and quality KPIs and countermeasures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
3-7 years of experience within the O2C function, including 3 years in a management role.
Experience in an international, culturally diverse organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Confident and effective communicator, comfortable interacting with all levels across various internal/external functions.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and solve complex problems.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Advanced experience with ERP financial applications (Oracle preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI preferred).
Project management experience, with familiarity with Agile process improvement methodology, is a plus.
Strong leadership and business partnering abilities, with the capacity to motivate teams and influence stakeholders.
Proven track record in building compelling business cases and adapting to change.
Demonstrated ethical decision-making, integrity, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
