SUMMARY
Camp Directors will oversee entire camp operation and will supervise camp activities of children in residential summer/day camps.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:
- Conduct pre-camp and in-service staff trainings Camp Counselors.
- Assign Camp Counselors schedule and staff activities.
- Plan, originate, organize and carry out daily and special programs.
- Supervise office procedures, opening and closing procedures for staff.
- Define and monitor crisis management plan, including emergency procedures.
- Responsible for the safety and supervision of the children enrolled in Camp Program and the Camp Counselors on and off property.
- Meet and consult with parents and the public.
- Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among staff and Campers.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous Camp Administrative experience ( i.e. unit lead, head counselor) and/or teaching experience in a public or private school setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position supervises the summer camp program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job may operate in a recreation center, park, or residential facility. Some hours will be spent outdoors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the ability to lead camp activities, including but not limited to, walking, hiking, swimming, physical games, etc.
Must be able to regularly lift 20 pounds and occasionally more.
TRAVEL:
No travel is expected for this position.

- First Aid/CPR Certification
