What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Vet's Best Friend?
We are looking for a professional and experienced individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist in our Woodbury location!
The receptionist position is an integral part of our team, as they are the first-person customers see upon arriving with their pets, in addition to the last “thank you and take care!” when they leave.
Aside from being an animal lover, our ideal candidate is welcoming, passionate about customer service, and extremely organized. Candidates must possess superior phone skills and be confident fielding customer concerns, both face-to-face and over the phone. Due to the client-facing nature of the job, communication and interpersonal skills are imperative. This person will also be confident in their ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
Above everything else, the best person for this job is a team player with a willingness to learn and adapt. In our industry, no day is the same and being ready to jump in to assist other team members in the veterinary setting is crucial. We value teamwork and mentorship.
We also preach the importance of a healthy culture and work-life balance. As a company, we completely understand the value of taking time for yourself, which is why we offer generous time off for all employees, as well as total flexibility in scheduling. Other unique benefits include personal and professional development opportunities such as our distinguished and highly prioritized mentorship program.
In addition to a highly competitive pay structure, all full-time employees are also eligible to a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, short and long-term disability, and a 401(k) contribution. Employees also have access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems.
Requirements: At least 1-year experience in the veterinary field OR customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
