Full-Time and Part-Time Veterinary Assistant Positions Available:
Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is currently looking for veterinary assistants to assist our doctors and technicians with patient care and hospital flow in a very busy hospital environment. We are looking for someone who has previous veterinary assistant experience.
Responsibilities of this role include:
· Patient restraint for procedures (such as exams, blood draws, IV catheter placement and imaging)
· Cage cleaning, feeding, walking, bathing (as directed by technician or doctor), and keeping animals clean by monitoring cages for any mess that may need to be cleaned
· Return animals to their owners as directed by the doctor or technician. Ensure that every animal released is clean, IV catheter removed etc. Make sure to collect all belongings and return to owner
· Receive animals to be admitted for hospital care as directed by the doctor or technician. Ensure that each animal has proper identification
· General cleaning of hospital treatment area including cleaning cages after a patient is discharged, laundry, cleaning treatment tables after use, cleaning scales etc.
· Cleaning exam rooms after use
· Stocking of hospital supplies and assisting with deliveries (as able).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
