Carnegie Hill Veterinarians is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys working with companion animals to join our team! Full-time and positions available. About our clinic: Carnegie Hill is a multi-doctor, full-service small animal hospital, offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. We believe healthy pets make happy people, and we strive to provide high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in the area. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Clean cages
  • Clean/sanitize hospital
  • Laundry
  • Self-starter
  • Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
  • Soothe upset or frightened animals
  • Help in cases of emergencies
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments or calling patients in the examination room by priority
  • Keep accurate records and logs

  • Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patient and caring personality
  • Ability to follow instructions properly
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
  • Availability to occasionally work in emergencies
