With this growth and expansion, our IT needs are rapidly evolving and our technology leadership team is growing. As the IT Operations Manager, you will be a key, hands-on leader within the Technology group, responsible for overseeing network management, user management, desktop support, information security, VOIP services, and other corporate services.
Key responsibilities and expectations:
- Mature and support a top-notch team to support Help Desk, User Management, Network Management, InfoSec, and other IT Operations functions across the company
- Plan 12-month IT Operations roadmap, and execute against it with your team
- Continually evaluate our hardware and software usage to ensure we are using best of class at an appropriate cost
- Continually evaluate how best to support virtual and on-premise users, in a largely Macbook Pro environment, minimizing risk to business through disruption of hardware or services while maximizing the security of our data
- Ensure effective monitoring of all business critical servers, systems and processes, office network and office A/V
- Support soft client based VOIP systems/software
- Work with CTO and Finance on budgeting and other financial support as it pertains to technical purchases
- Negotiate technical contracts and support key stakeholders with evaluations of 3rd party services, and their contracts, to support their needs
- You and your team will suggest and implement operational improvements, security needs, policies, best practices, etc.
- As a team of two you be expected to take on some of the responsibilities of the current team member while your team grows, including standard help desk requests, and will be responsible for ensuring redundancy across support functions
Candidate Qualifications:
- Self-starter who can work in a highly demanding environment and maintains a positive attitude
- 5+ years IT Support experience with 3+ years of experience building and managing relevant technology teams
- Experience leading complex project initiatives
- A communication pro -- must be able to explain technical issues to a non-technical person, pleasantly
- A proven track record of maturing technical teams and processes
- Highly attentive to details, able to cross all the t's and dot all the i's
- Eager to research and learn in a self-directed way (always improving)
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in technology-related discipline
- Experience supporting remote users, a plus
- Experience working in an Agile environment, preferred
