VHB’s Site Investigation and Remediation Team is looking to hire a On-Call Geologist to support our South Burlington, VT Office / Region.

Responsibilities
- Field data collection (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil gas sampling)
- Support drilling activities (soil borings and monitoring well installation)
- Support site construction and remediation activities for environmental compliance
- Leveraging technology to support data management and visualization
- Evaluate data and compile information both graphically and in tabular format
- Support site assessments
- Assist with writing technical reports, correspondence, notes and memoranda
- Ability to work in field and office settings
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Technologically savvy and proficient with Microsoft applications and GIS
- Motivated and ability to problem solve and work independently
- 0-3 years of engineering/environmental consulting experience, whether through coursework or professional experience
- Completed a bachelor’s degree in Geology or closely related field with a focus on geology and hydrogeology issues with internship experience preferred
- OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification preferred
