We are looking for a Full-Time Front Desk Associate with weekday, weekend & holiday availability who can work our evening shifts to greet our guests as they arrive for their stay at our resort.
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Associate is a key member of the Resort Operations Team. As the first and last person our owners/guests will encounter, the Front Desk Associate will provide a lasting impression for the VI experience while providing excellent customer service at all times.
As this position is focused on customer service, a qualifying applicant is someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicant would have a working knowledge of computers including Word, Excel, email communications, and other common programs. A qualifying candidate would be able to prioritize, multi-task, and have the ability to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the guest registration process including checking in/out guests, using the computer, and issuing keys.
- Answer telephone/courtesy calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Research and provide information on local activities, dining, and attractions to owners/guests.
- Provide VI program information and confirm reservations as requested by owners.
- Dispatch guest’s requests to other departments such as maintenance and housekeeping and follow up to confirm all tasks have been completed.
- Maintain service request database.
- Maintain operational files and data bases. Requires data input, and filing.
- Encourage owners and guests to complete a YOC (Your Opinion Counts) Survey.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office and general computer operation skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in person and via telephone.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with owners and staff members.
- Basic math, inventory, and cash handling skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays and evening shifts until 8pm.
Physical Demands of the Position:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or occasionally lift 10 – 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
