We are seeking a Lead Housekeeper to join our team!


Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Denver, located in Thornton, CO, is a 54 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the hospital physical environment meets
established standards for cleanliness and sanitation, and meets all infection control and safety standards for
the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the cleanliness of the floors and furniture using a
variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Responsible for scheduling and mentoring of new staff.

 

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a housekeeper in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Verbal ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff required.
  • Must be able to write and understand written instructions.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Three (3) year of housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Previous healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Posted Total Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18.50 to $25.40.
