Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be based out of Lufkin, TX and will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting the overall production process. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of production machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. Perform light fabrication and welding as needed. Collaborate with the Multi-Site Plant Manager to plan and execute maintenance schedules. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems for work order management and documentation. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs, repair reports, and parts inventory. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed. Monitor and manage the inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment hardware to minimize cost. Provide on-call support for emergency repairs during off-hours Other duties as assigned. Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade certification preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar maintenance role in a production or industrial manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Experience with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance-related tools. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols. Willingness to work in a fast-paced and flexible production environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling. Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
