About the job
Reporting to the Site VP, the Quality Manager plans, coordinates, and directs quality programs designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

· Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
· Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
· Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
· Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
· Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
· Applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
· Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.
Requirements:
BS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent education/work experience.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Quality Management role.
Must be proficient in GR&R studies, CMM, SPC.GD&T, APQP, FMEA and PPAP.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate at all levels of organization.
Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing principles.
Strong manufacturing background with focus on metal removing processes.,
Strong organizational skills (electronic and paper.
Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Customer focus – need to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
Practical knowledge of state-of-the-art inspection and quality engineering techniques, procedures, equipment, theories and principles.
American Society for Quality Certificate and Green Belt Certification desired.

Salary: $63,665.17 - $121,159.50 per year
