What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Chef position at Villaggio Grille?
Villaggio Grille is looking to add a pastry chef to our team! Experience and time management is important for this position . Villaggio would like a pastry chef to make our fresh breads for service and sandwiches, desserts, and special request.
Pastry Chef that is responsible for directing and coordinating all bakery and pastry preparations for The Wharf Restaurant Group . Will assist Executive Chef with efficient and effective operations of the kitchen and food preparations in regards to bakery and pastry.
Responsibilities of the Pastry Chef:
- Responsible for the day-to-day successful operation and execution of Pastries and ensures that all quality, cost, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for the daily and seasonal menus and production planning.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- keeping up with the par levels for bread and desserts (this includes not running out of items often ) staying ahead of the volume
- creativity with desserts
- keeping clean in the working area
- taking proper care of equipment for sanitation and safety measures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
