What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at Vinnie's Neighborhood Italian - South?
As Executive Chef, you will be working closely with the GM to drive day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, as well as managing and training kitchen staff, running stations, expediting, scheduling staff, managing inventory, food & labor cost, etc. Experience in a scratch kitchen is a must. Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring they are performing to the highest standards
- Handle administrative duties, including scheduling, food cost management, inventory management, recipe costing, etc.
- Develop and create weekly specials, while ensuring consistency with existing menu offerings
- Order and manage inventory of all kitchen supplies, including food, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work with the front-of-house to ensure smooth and efficient service
Qualifications:
- Exceptional cooking skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience cooking in a scratch kitchen
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen management experience
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong working knowledge of food costing, inventory management, etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Aloha POS
- Current ServSafe or similar certification
Compensation:
- $62,000
- Performance-based raises
