PROCESS/MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
PROCESS/MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
To integrate or improve manufacturing systems and processes relative to companies’ processing/production/validation. Provide project and status feedback to the management team.
Emphasis on Continuous Improvement driving positive change throughout the manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Perform Manufacturing Engineering projects as assigned.
- Execute disciplines focusing on Continuous Improvement
- Implementing creative ideas in the process of manufacturing and understanding the technicalities related to the company’s products.
- Hands-on approach on improving the manufacturing process by implementing engineering concepts and optimizing production.
- Support Validation Team in transitioning new programs to production including manufacturing line, secondary operations, and production planning.
- Configuring and providing manufacturing specifications to the teams involved in documentation to help prepare guides and instructions.
- Working with the manufacturing department and helping them understand the technical concepts that should be looked after during the manufacturing process.
- Working closely with the quality assurance team to make sure that the processes are meeting the quality constraints.
- Identify and/or Lead Continuous Improvement/Lean Projects either individually or with team.
- Gather information for equipment needs, create and budget for ROI.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement meetings as required.
- Support sales initiatives and programs.
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desirable skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 1-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing Disciplines a PLUS.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Technical Drawings and technical information documents.
- Ability to write and professionally present technical information to small groups.
- Should be creative and should possess the ability to use modern technology in the manufacturing process. Support cross functional teams and departments as required.
- Familiar with the manufacturing process and concepts that are followed.
- Possess strong computer, mathematics, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical information, electronic data, drawings, and data in an efficient manner.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time/Must be able to climb up and down stairs.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
