What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transitional Living House Manager position at Virginia Family Services?
Transitional Living House Manager is responsible for managing transitional housing program. You will help guide men and women by equipping them with a secure and nurturing environment to learn daily living skills, assisting with program compliance and goals.
- Willing to acknowledge, adhere, and promote core values.
- Proven leadership skills, preferably a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role for the full time position.
- Experience working in a nonprofit environment, transitional housing or residential housing sector experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with a marginalized population which would include homeless, addicted, or prison reentry.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage 3 houses
- Provide coaching, mentoring and accountability. You’re their biggest cheerleader!
- Conduct weekly one on one meeting with individuals for goal setting and case management.
- Ensure residents adhere to rules and policies.
- Assist residents with financial stability, career development, and personal and spiritual growth.
