Dosimetrist Job Description Purpose & Scope: The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology in the management of cancer or other disease processes, with special expertise in radiation therapy treatment planning. Education: An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Experience: One year of experience is dosimetry is preferred. One year of RT(T) experience is preferred. Experience in Aria Treatment Chart and Eclipse Planning Software is preferred. Certification/Licensure: Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board required. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. Other Qualifications Obtains required MDCB CEUs.
