Purpose and Scope:
Serves as a resource for Medical Assistants. The Lead Medical Assistant provides general administrative and clinical support to physicians and other practitioners. She or he ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care and that medical supplies are maintained at all times. The Lead Medical Assistant assists with intake and patient flow; takes vital signs, and performs office procedures per department protocol. She/he is responsible for accurately documenting clinical activities, per procedure.
A. Education: Understanding of medical terminology required. Post high school degree or certificate preferred.
