Schedule: Full-Time

Purpose and Scope:

Serves as a resource for Medical Assistants. The Lead Medical Assistant provides general administrative and clinical support to physicians and other practitioners. She or he ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care and that medical supplies are maintained at all times. The Lead Medical Assistant assists with intake and patient flow; takes vital signs, and performs office procedures per department protocol. She/he is responsible for accurately documenting clinical activities, per procedure.

A. Education:
Understanding of medical terminology required. Post high school degree or certificate preferred.
B. Experience: Two years relevant experience required. Knowledge of medical office electronic medical records preferred.
C. Other Qualifications: Certification in basic life support is required. Qualified candidates must possess excellent interpersonal communication ability, customer service skills, and telephone etiquette. Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment and have the ability to organize multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must present professionally, have a pleasant personality, and ability to communicate positively with patients and staff.
