Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Customer Service Representative I. Responsible for serving as the primary communication link, between our valued customers, franchised distributors, sales and marketing organization.

Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.
What you will be doing:
Performs order entry functions, when necessary, following our Enterprise Resource Planning rules and guidelines.
Enters all change orders. Consults with business units when situation requires it.
Enters Return Material Authorization orders once proper authorization has been received.
Submits quote requests to Marketing for customers we support on a direct basis. Items may include product not on their standard contract and/or custom product.
Requests Marketing to generate Material Master and Customer Information Records when part number is not on Enterprise Resource Planning system.
Monitors Electronic Data Interchange workflow box and corrects problems allowing orders to flow into our system.
Provides timely and accurate responses to inquiries from sales and customers utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning system and factory support.
Communicates critical customer information/requirements to business units.
Coordinates expedite requests as received.
Advises sales/customers when deliveries will be delinquent.
Works with Credit Department. to resolve invoice issues.
Coordinates material checks with planning for critical situations where substitutions are last option.
What you will bring along:
High School diploma or GED required plus additional specialized training.
Two years’ experience in a manufacturing operation would be desirable.
One to two years’ experience.
Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with customers and company employees.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to accurately process customer orders and handle daily workload.
Must be able to multi-task working with factory contacts in Marketing, Planning, Quality, etc. in the 6 business units associated with Vishay Americas.
Excellent computer skills. Must be able to use multiple computer systems.
Have the ability to understand and learn the numerous product lines that Vishay Americas currently is selling.
Office type work with mobility required intermittently to handle such things as making copies, filing and expediting orders.
