Responsibilities include delivering and managing training programs in the field and classroom setting to improve the knowledge and skills of new and experienced sales personnel. In addition, work closely with Senior Sales Management to implement and execute training strategies to address the needs of the sales department.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates new hire sales training programs.
- Develops and assists with the creation and delivery of training materials and lesson plans.
- Assists in identifying opportunities and creating solutions for key training initiatives.
- Assesses salesforce for strengths and skill gaps and develops programs to address those competency gaps.
- Assists with and implements development programs for annual/regular sales meetings, as required.
- Conduct team meetings and training as needed.
- Evaluate team member performance
- Provide coaching and sales support to outside sales reps
- Ensure proper compliance with company sales training manual
- Conducting performance assessments to identify training needs
- Delivering outstanding presentations that create a sense of urgency to buy now
- Resolving concerns and overcoming challenges and objections
- Following up on pipeline and channel sales opportunities using our CRM
- Generating additional revenue through networking and referrals
- Participating in ongoing training, development, and certifications
- Partnering with cross-functional departments to accomplish mutual objectives
- Communicating and sharing best practices with other team members
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas set by the department manager.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of local and regional competition, understanding market pricing, utility rates, grant and incentive programs, and the current mix of products and services.
- Attend ongoing training and development activities to improve industry and product knowledge while developing new skills
Qualifications
- Strong ability to close deals
- Strong Communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM Databases
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- Proficient with Adobe, Excel, Google Documents, etc. required
- Previous solar experience preferred, not required
