General Manager of Waste Management

Job Description

The Position - In this role, you will manage the entire life cycle of liquid waste and services for a specific market. This position will oversee the delivery and resource disposal while analyzing and coordinating the management functions related to the assigned market area within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Direct plant management of waste volume and processing.
• Direct transportation life cycle management – training, driving, dispatching, and managing teams.
• P&L responsibility for the assigned market
• Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to an operations activity.
• Plan, organize, and execute plant support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations.
• Develop an understanding of customers' needs and ensure that such needs are met.
• Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.
• Explain operations and solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
• Report operations plans, progress, and results.
• Direct team activities by setting up task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
• Review and aid with proposals that include documentation for estimates.
• Review coordination performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
• Supervise all disposal and service employees and manage the performance management and hiring of the employees within those departments.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Educational Background & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Business Management, Transportation, Project Management, or Logistics preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in business development, trucking, and plant management.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• 1-3 years of P&L experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
