Visiting Angels of Stamford, CT is now hiring an Assistant Care Manager and Scheduler to join our growing team!
- Competitive Annual Salary - based on 8 hour work day
- PTO - You will accrue paid time off (PTO) of 15 working days per year, which can be used as vacation days, personal days or sick days.
- 6 Paid Holidays Off - paid holidays for New Year’s, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and Christmas days
- 401K Match - After one year of employment, you will be eligible to participate in our 401K Plan, whereby we will match your contributions up to 4% of your salary every week.
- Employee Commission Plan - In six months from your employment, you will be eligible for our Employee Commission Plan (which pays you $0.15/hour/week for every additional hour exceeding your 6th month’s baseline number of hours.)
- Annual Bonus - Additionally, you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus payable at the end of each year, based upon performance and solely at the owners’ discretion.
- Daytime Shift - Normal work hours are from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm.
- On Call Night/Weekend Overtime Pay - you will also be paid extra for any night or weekend time attributed to our on-call (Bat) phone as detailed below. No other benefits are included in this offer at this time.
Please note: On-call evening and weekend phone rotations, as directed, are a requirement for this position. The chosen candidate will be expected to over the phone at least one week out of every four weeks. (Note that on-call is additionally reimbursed at $650/week, which is over and above the base rate of pay.)
The job description for this position includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone and greet the public.
- Staff and schedule new and existing cases.
- Thoroughly understand our ClearCare scheduling system, which is the lifeblood of our business.
- Recruit, interview and counsel caregivers.
- Introduce new and replacement caregivers to clients.
- Process applications and check references
- Insuring all new hire paperwork is completed; and all new hire procedures followed.
- Assist with new caregiver staff orientations.
- Schedule caregivers for service on new care recipients and open hours/shifts on existing cases.
- Independently respond to and resolve any client or caregiver complaints or concerns.
- Communicate and reinforce Visiting Angels’ policies and procedures.
- On-call evening and weekend phone rotations, as directed, at least one week out of every five weeks. (Note that on-call is additionally reimbursed at $650/week, which is over and above the base rate of pay.)
- Exhibit positive attitude and behavior and demonstrate respect for employees and clients and maintain absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, clients' families and employees.
- Understand the importance of seeking assistance, as needed, from your supervisor and/or others.
- Demonstrate capability and dependability in following instructions.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the management team.
Position Requirements
- Completed college degree preferred.
- 1-2 years prior customer service experience
- Familiarity and comfort with email correspondence and Microsoft office applications
- Availability to work rotating evening/weekend phone schedule, as described above
- Ability to professionally communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing to manage client expectations
