What is Private Duty Nursing?
Private Duty Nursing involves providing one-on-one care in the home for clients with specialized healthcare needs that necessitate continuous hourly nursing care, for up to 16 hours per day.
Responsibilities Of Private Duty Nurses
- Offering one-on-one care and fostering patient interaction
- Conducting vital signs and physical assessments
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Documenting the patient's ongoing condition
- Additional tasks may include G-tube, trach, and vent care
- One-on-One Specialized Training
- Trach, Ventilator, and G-Tube Training
- Access to 24/7 Support Staff
