Entry Level Electronics Inspector

A prominent provider of technology solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team on a direct-hire basis in Ithaca, NY.

If you worked for us, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

• Prioritized and performed final inspection activity on completed printers to be shipped out to customers
• Worked with Quality and Manufacturing teams when our products don't work as intended to get items fixed and shipped to customers on-time
• Completed receiving inspection on components, printers, and consumables needed for our business and collaborated with engineers on products that don't conform to our standards
• Performed increased inspection activities for new products during their initial release phase
• Participated in a daily Quality team meeting with engineers and managers to assess workload and determine where team members need help or resources from the group
• Used Oracle NetSuite Applications and Access databases to enter inspection results
• Worked with Stockroom and Manufacturing to move product into and out of the quality lab, including inventory transactions in the ERP system to document those moves
• Reported to Planning and Manufacturing the status of printers or components currently being routed through inspection processes
• Worked with Planning and Shipping to adapt to quickly changing customer priorities and product demands to move the right product through inspection processes at the right time

Here are some other things you might do on occasion:

• Run and or assist with reliability testing on printers and components
• Sort material based on cosmetic, assembly or functional standards
• Perform or assist with calibration on measurement and manufacturing equipment
• Compile and send inspection reports
• Identify, investigate, and document product problems and solutions as part of our corrective action program
• Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Other information you need to know:
Being in product quality requires ethical decision making that puts the satisfaction of the customer as the highest focus. We are a closely collaborative team, and this role is interactive with multiple departments within the company, not just the quality group. Experience in an ISO9001 manufacturing environment is beneficial. This is a physical job that includes light duty work such as standing, frequent lifting of up to 15lbs, and occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• English language proficient
• 2- 5 years of related experience and/or technical education or equivalent level of education and experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Must be capable of passing a basic eye exam, with corrective lenses if needed
• Covid-19 vaccination required
