Position: Learning Leader / Trainer
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Reports To: Learning and Development Director, or Learning and Development Specialist
Location: Remote, Wisconsin based, Ability to travel frequently with potential overnight stays across the Vista Care programs in Wisconsin
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Learning and Development Director, or designee, the Learning Leader coordinates and implements the company’s training and development curriculum for new hires and existing employees, including online courses. The Learning Leader is responsible to be an integral part of the company’s onboarding and retention of employee initiatives as it relates to learning and development. This position works collectively across all departments and programs within Vista Care including states outside of Wisconsin. This position is required to travel and must have the ability to conduct training sessions outside of typical business hours. Learning Leaders are to provide support to the Operational Leaders to ensure that Vista Care is providing the Best Care.

Assist with on-going training that supports Operations in programs.

Monitoring training certifications and renewals with notifications to staff when necessary.

Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise for Vista Care’s training program/courses.

Ensure documentation of all training sessions conducted for new and existing employees.

Ensure the entry and maintenance of all training courses and data into Vista Care’s learning management systems.

Training for new and existing employees and providing or arranging specialized training as it supports each specific Operational program.

Assuring employees are trained and competent in all Vista Care’s policies.

Conduct in-person and virtual training that fits the needs of each program and services.

Coordinate with Operational Leaders to determine the best time and place to conduct training.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with all departments, programs and states.

Maintain competency and certifications to teach all required training across all Vista Care programs.

Maintain and renew certifications/licenses as it relates to training.

Conduct Crisis Prevention training techniques to new employees as needed by each program/state.

Provide training and education to program employees in conjunction with Operational Leadership when necessary and/or requested.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required and prefer two years with human services experience. Preference given to those that have experience in working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Health/Behavioral Health; with at least two years training experience.
Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF) Training Certification preferred, including but not limited to the ability to teach virtually.
Additional Requirements

Required to pass background check and drug screen, applicable to state regulations

Must have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and meet Vista Care’s current driving requirements.

Travel Required for this position up to 50% of work schedule, travel is determined by Operational and training needs.

Ability to become certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) to teach de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies, this does include teaching physical restraint techniques.
