Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms of patients through telemetry equipment.
- Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias and other abnormalities.
- Notify appropriate healthcare providers promptly in case of critical findings.
- Maintain accurate records of cardiac monitoring data and patient information.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to monitoring equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in cardiac monitoring preferred.
- Proven experience as a Monitor Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
