Description
Southwest Spine and Pain Center is hiring for a Clinic Support Specialist. Individual must be able to multi-task and interact well with co-workers and patients.
Job Responsibilities
Assisting PSR's with font desk duties including but not limited to verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
Submission and tracking of procedure orders, prior authorization, and scheduling.
Assist team with authorization denials and submitting appeals.
Assist with the scheduling and rescheduling of patients within the guidelines of each provider.
Answering phone calls and patient messages
Assist manager with development of staff schedule and provider templates.
Assist manager with meeting huddles and employee 1:1s as appropriate.
Assist manager with hiring tasks.
Assist manager with applying no show and late cancellation charges to patient accounts as appropriate.
Assisting team with electronic faxes and new patient referrals
Ability to multitask and must be willing to work in all areas as needed.
Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with patients that may be upset or are not feeling well.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude, demonstrate teamwork, and support fellow care team members by offering assistance.
Assist team with chart prep - reviewing and updating medical history.
Assist clinic team with taking vitals, rooming patients, and assisting providers with visits as needed.
Must be comfortable in a busy clinic that sees a variety of patients which requires attention to detail and composure.
Assist, attend, and complete mandatory trainings as released by company departments.
Assist team leads and providers in co-managing clinic operations during the absence of the clinic manager.
Assist clinic manager with inquiries and requests from staff and patients, providing excellent customer service, support, and quality care.
Perform other duties as assigned by the clinic manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Associate degree (preferred)
Computer proficiency and phone skills required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
