Job Posting for Intake Coordinator/Scheduler at Vital Care of Meridian
Job Summary:
The Intake Scheduler/Coordinator will be the face and voice that most of our patients/customers associate with our office and, therefore, must portray a positive image at all times. He/she will implement and or maintain processes that will meet both personal and business goals of serving our current patients while attempting to expand our customer base.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Works with the Intake team to schedule patients once approved for therapy.
Works with the nursing and pharmacy team to coordinate deliveries and infusions for new and chronic patients.
Assists in ensuring all needed admission paperwork is accounted for according to billing and accreditation guidelines.
Works as a liaison between pharmacy and referral sources and patients.
Works as a liaison between pharmacy and marketing staff. Communicating to entire staff updates on patient therapy and therapy needs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Personable, with strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Professional etiquette when speaking with patients/customers via phone or in person.
Education and Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be 18 years of age.
Experience in a health care setting or prior receptionist duties helpful.
Good interactive skills with employees, supervisors, referral sources, and consumers required.
