The Sr. SCM Category Manager - Production will own and manage the overall end-to-end category management process intended to generate long term commercial value, develop the supply base and provide insight and analysis to support organizational business decisions. This role is intended to drive focus and alignment across the production supply chains and to identify commercial leverage opportunities and best practices where applicable. The Sr. SCM Category Manager will partner with business unit teams across the organization to develop and execute category sourcing strategies based on a deep understanding of Supply Chain Management and Production Operations practices, the current business situation, the business strategy and drivers, the local supplier market, focused on minimizing total cost of ownership and maximizing service quality.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to identify business drivers and value-creation opportunities within assigned categories.
- Partner with business unit teams across the organization to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, focused on minimizing total cost of ownership and maximizing service quality. Including Legal, EHS, Ops, Accounting, ESG, and Audit
- Manage the delivery of contracts through their full life cycle, which includes developing comprehensive post award contract management plans, ensuring compliance, performance measurement, and corrective actions.
- Solve complex problems without precedent and/or structure; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Works independently, with guidance in complex situations.
- Implement tactics/strategy and contract documentation to secure services and materials in compliance with business needs, requirements and on best commercial terms that fully accounts for all market capacity/capability and risks/opportunities.
- Manage key suppliers and translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions, driving total cost of ownership, efficiency, performance and EHS benefits.
- Lead market intelligence efforts within assigned categories to anticipate changes in supply market conditions and capitalize on value-creation opportunities.
- Understand the changes in the business, business drivers and external environment and trigger adjustment of supply chain end to end processes, category strategies and contracts.
- Perform technical and commercial analysis in a clear, granular, digestible format to assist in the decision-making process.
- Build and maintain strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market. Responsible for supplier relationship management, continuous improvement, enhancing competitive advantage and improving supplier safety and quality.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- 8 years of Supply Chain related experience -or- 8 years of experience in Production Operations in the upstream Oil & Gas industry -or- Combination of the two
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management is highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and data visualization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation and influencing ability

COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of a normal office environment. No environmental hazards are encountered in performance of normal job duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound objects such as files, documents, boxes, etc. Work involves sitting most of the time but may involve standing and walking for brief periods. Overtime is a requirement of the job. Travel is occasionally required (less than 5% of time). If located in Tulsa, OK, 25% travel to field offices will be required.
