Job Summary:
The Finance Intern will support Viterra's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group with monthly reporting, annual budget, system updates, data validation, report creation, data entry, and ad-hoc projects as assigned. At the end of the internship, the Finance Intern will have gained experience that will prepare them for a role in corporate finance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize multiple systems to create or update monthly reporting
- Learn Essbase, Oracle Financials, Tableau and other software
- Assist in preparation of management reporting materials
- Assist in data intensive projects, creating new analyses and verifying data accuracy
- Assist in maintenance of current suite of reporting tools and verifying data integrity
- Assist with other projects and ad-hoc items as assigned
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of two years college-level coursework, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is required. Coursework in a CFA, Data Analytics or Financial Technology field preferred
- Ability to effectively work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly-motivated team with a strong attention to detail
- Solid analytical, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – particularly Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SQL and Python preferred
- Ability to work independently
Special Demands:
- Will work in an open-concept office environment requiring prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to focus amidst surrounding activity
- Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment (copier, calculator, printer)
